Join the Office of Sustainability for Sustaina-bite: Bite-sized sustainability information while you take a bite out of lunch. This October, learn from Dr. Lara Musser about the James Monroe’s plantation home in Charlottesville and what it has to do with William & Mary sustainability.
Highland has been part of William and Mary since 1974, and now functions as a interdisciplinary-disciplinary learning lab for William and Mary students interested in conducting on-the-ground, out-of-the-box research. With 535 acres of farm and forest land, Highland provide abundant research opportunities in a range of fields, including but not limited to:
  • Geology and geospatial mapping, Biology, Environmental Science ( including reforesting and watershed research ), Ecology, Archaeology
Drop in to Sustain-a-bite on October 30th to learn more about how to work with their academic staff to develop research projects, apply for funding that can cover research, transportation, and housing, and learn about some of the environmental research that goes on at Highland.
