Best Buddies at William and Mary

BBWM creates one-to-one friendships between college students and their peers with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). By doing this, we provide opportunities for networking within the college community for individuals with IDDs, while simultaneously broadening the perspectives of WM students and increasing inclusivity on campus. Best buddies facilitates the blossoming of new friendships by putting on fun and engaging monthly events, fundraisers, and opportunities for advocacy. Regular contact between buddies and students allow for a genuine and reciprocated friendship to develop.
