Canterbury: the Episcopal Church at William & Mary
About
The "Canterbury Association" is the Episcopal Church at the College of William and Mary, drawing its name from our mother Church in England, Canterbury Cathedral. We hold weekly worship services at Bruton Parish Church and the University's Wren Chapel. Our students, with the help of our chaplain, Fr. Charlie, lead our weekly worship and other forms of Christian formation. No matter where you are on your journey of faith, you are welcome here.
We also worship God in and through our lives together in community. We host various social events from movie nights to canoe trips, and we gather twice a week following services to break bread together. There are many ways to engage the Canterbury Association: acolyting or reading for Sunday and Tuesday services, spring break and weekend retreats, or community service opportunities. Regardless of how you might engage with us during your time on campus, we hope that you encounter God.
