Environmental Law and Policy Review

About

The William & Mary Environmental Law and Policy Review is an established law journal dedicated to the discussion of compelling issues in environmental law and policy. As a student-run publication, ELPR provides legal scholars, practitioners, and the W&M community the opportunity to analyze environmental law and policy through rigorous legal and academic research, writing, and editing.

ELPR began in 1975 as the Environmental Practice News, a newsletter by the W&M Environmental Law Society focused on local and regional environmental legal issues. By 1990, the publication evolved into the William & Mary Journal of Environmental Law, a legal journal with an expanded national and international perspective on various topics in environmental law.

Since 1994, the journal has operated as the William & Mary Environmental Law and Policy Review. And for over five decades, ELPR has served as a forum for environmental, legal, and policy professionals and students to review timely topics of environmental law and carefully consider the policy implications of legal developments.
