Someone You Know
About
Someone You Know is a 501(c)(3) peer-education group that focuses on sexual violence prevention, awareness, advocacy, survivor support, and intervention skills. We present detailed programs to other campus organizations such as fraternities and sororities, club sports teams, multicultural organizations, and more. Someone You Know organizes campus-wide, year-round passive programming like #WhyIDidntReport, the National Clothesline Project, and the Red Flag Campaign. We also host more interactive programming that involves discussion on specific topics focused on the unique violence experienced by marginalized populations, like the LGBT+ communities and communities of color.
SYK membership is application-based, and we conduct our recruitment process during the fall and spring.
