Young Independents at the College of William and Mary

Young Independents holds weekly meetings in which we discuss pressing political issues in both the national and international political sphere. We provide moderated discussion that gives students a chance to both voice their own opinions on these issues, and allows students to learn about and understand the differing perspectives of others. We seek to invite speakers that promote this kind of respectful political engagement and to develop better outreach to campus to promote respectful discourse in a climate that has become highly polarized.
